Yasmina is Milique’s twelfth grandchild. For the past year Yasmina has spent much of her time alone with her grandmother in their terraced garden, tending the sweet potatoes, garlic and onions. Fourteen-hour days are not unusual. It is common among many tribal peoples to pair the young with the very old.
